OHLA USA has accrued an extensive body of work completing bridge projects, largely through Judlau Contracting. Their history in the industry spans back over 30 years, and since their founding they have been involved in bridge construction and innovation. They have expanded the scope of their work and delivered massive projects to clients such as the NYCT, the MTA, and the LIRR.
Judlau’s bridge portfolio is extensive; they were the General Contractor for the lower level deck replacement at the Henry Hudson Bridge, which connects the west side of Manhattan with the Bronx over the Harlem River. The overall scope of the project involved replacing the entire lower-level four-lane existing bridge deck with new prefabricated steel grid deck panels, and also making the necessary structural steel repairs to the steel arch superstructure. Other notable projects in bridge innovation include:
- Three Bridges Restoration
- East Gun Hill Road Bridge
- Rehabilitation of Bryant Hill Bridge
- Nine Bridges Rehabilitation
- George Washington Bridge
