Judlau Contracting Inc., has been awarded a more than $45M contract by the City of Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) to preform mass grading work for the new central deicing facility at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport. The project includes more than 2.2 million cubic yards of earth excavation over a seven month period to create the base for the airport’s central deicing facility. This phase of the project is scheduled for completion in December 2017.

Work will be executed in two parts and includes extensive mass grading, excavation, lime modification to strengthen the embankment, debris removal, backfilling, and sorting and stockpiling materials. The project will create approximately 150 jobs and positions Judlau for approximately $200M worth of additional work for the client over the next 2 years.
